Gov. Corbett cuts T.E.A.C.H. funding

Release Date: July 22, 2011

Governor Corbett's office has been flooded with calls and e-mail messages about the elimination of T.E.A.C.H. funding. Thousands of petitions have been delivered to him. Has your voice been heard?

While state legislative leaders targeted T.E.A.C.H. as a place to make state budget cuts, federal funds were also cut in the budget. The Governor's office decided to partially absorb those cuts by eliminating all the federal funding for T.E.A.C.H. His office is responsible for the decision to cut federal funds and they can reverse it.
