For 17 years, DVAEYC has honored business leaders, community advocates, politicians and practitioners and their work to increase the availability of quality early education for Pennsylvania's young children.

This year we honored Champion for Young Children, Carole Haas Gravagno! We will recognize Carole for her leadership and support of the United Way’s Healthy Parenting Initiative - a program that helps early childhood educators strengthen their capacity to build strong relationship with parents – as well as her work with The Parenting Alliance, a group of local organizations working with families and children to reduce abuse, neglect and violence by empowering parents to effectively nurture their children.
